If you love chocolate cakes, then you should definitely try out this easy recipe mentioned below.
Oreo Chocolate truffle cake-
Ingredients-
Oreo biscuits- 300g (32 pc)
Milk- 1 cup
Baking powder-½ tsp
Dark chocolate- 250 g
Cream- 150g
Coffee powder- ½ tsp
Butter- 1 tsp
To begin making this cake, you need a heavy bottom pan and keep it on the flame. Now add regular white salt to it. After this, put a stand in the pan and cover it with a lid. Leave it for at least 10 to 15 minutes to let it heat well.
Meanwhile, to prepare the mould, you need to grease the mould with the oil so that the batter doesn’t get stuck to it. Now apply butter paper on it and grease it too. If you don’t have butter paper, then you can dust your mould with fine flour.
Now it’s time for cake batter. You need 32 pieces of oreo biscuits. Crush all the biscuits into pieces and put it in the grinder to get the fine powder. Now put the powder in the bowl. Now pour one cup of milk, approximately 200 ml, on the powder. Make sure milk is at room temperature. Gradually add milk to the powder and keep mixing it side by side. The ultimate goal is to make a smooth, creamy batter. After this, add a tablespoon of baking powder into the bowl. You can use ENO instead of baking powder. Immediately mix the batter well.
Now shift the batter into the greased mould. Tap the mould to settle the batter well into the container. Now put the mould carefully into the preheated pan. Cover the pan and let it cook on medium flame for 35 to 40 minutes. Timings may vary for everyone, so check your cake after 30 minutes.
After 35 minutes now lift the lid and check whether it is cooked or not. To ensure that the cake is baked well, you can insert a toothpick in the centre. If the toothpick comes out clean, then your cake is baked completely, and if you find residues on the toothpick, then you have to cook them for 5 to 10 minutes again. Take out the mould and cover it with a cloth and keep it aside for a while to let it cool.
Meanwhile, you can prepare the ganache for frosting the cake.
For this you need 250 grams of dark chocolate crushed in pieces. Take a saucepan and add cream into it to let it get to heat. Add ½ tsp of coffee powder into the cream to enhance the flavour of chocolate. You can skip this step if you don’t like coffee. Mix the coffee powder in the cream and let it heat on the low flame till it starts bubbling from the sides. Now pour the cream onto the crushed chocolate and let it rest for 10 to 20 seconds. Now add one tablespoon of butter into the bowl and mix it till the chocolate melts. If your chocolate doesn’t melt well, then you can microwave or double-boil the mixture.
Now place the ganache into the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes for it to get set.
Meanwhile, de-mould the cake and separate the sides with a knife. Now divide the cake into layers using a serrated knife. Remove the uneven portion of the cake to get a flat top. You can make layers according to your choice.
Now to make sugar syrup, dissolve sugar into the water and take it into a separate bowl and keep it aside to let it cool down completely.
Now take out the ganache from the fridge.
It’s time to assemble the cake. You can take a turntable for the same. Now put the first layer of the cake on it and moisten it with sugar syrup. Now spread the ganache on it. Put the second layer of cake and repeat the process and now keep the third layer and cover the whole cake with the ganache. Also, cover the sides of the cake with the ganache. Now place this cake in the fridge for 15-20 minutes to set the cake. Use the remaining ganache to layer the cake again and refrigerate the cake again for one hour.
Lastly, garnish the cake with choco chips, hard chocolates and cherries. You can garnish according to your preference.
